Message from the Executive Presbyter

On behalf of the Council of the Presbytery, I want to welcome you to this new edition of the Presbytery of Scioto Valley’s website. It is my hope that the Presbytery’s website will allow us to create ministry venues while supporting other resources and efforts. It is my hope that our website will enable people to access information that will assist in the ministries being done in the 112 churches of the Presbytery. I would hope that this website will enable people to access prayer concerns and report on prayer answers, while enabling people to share ways that God has shown up in their encounters while doing ministry in their communities. I also hope that this website will enable the development of partnerships among the churches in the Presbytery who share similar passions. I hope this website will enable us to create podcast interviews with church leaders for updates on what is going on in their church communities. I hope we will be able to conduct community forums or “Webinars” to educate people to the missional opportunities available in the Presbytery and beyond. I am hopeful that the Presbytery website will enable us to create engaging gospel presentations online and allow for response and follow-up, using video as well as text.

I am excited about the possibilities for mission and ministry the redesigned Presbytery website can support as we partner with one another in the Presbytery. I know the staff is looking forward to using the website to communicate on a regular basis with all of our members and friends. The staff will be responsible for writing monthly articles, on a rotating basis, to be posted on our website. I hope all of us will find this website to be a helpful resource in the ministry God calls us to do within our own communities, within the boundaries of the Presbytery, and beyond.

Grace and Peace,

Dana
