We are glad that you’ve stopped by.

The Presbytery of Scioto Valley (PSV) has moved to an electronic newsletter.

Each week a printable newsletter is compiled, you can download it here.

In addition, the individual articles are posted to this website.

The website and the download (PDF) versions contain the same things, you do not need to read both. Choose which one you prefer.

If you are familiar with “blogs” then the format will be very familiar to you. If not, see the section below which describes how some features work.

Have something you’d like to see posted to the website? Send it to newsletter@psvonline.org. All submissions are reviewed.

Find Your Way Around

The newsletter section of the PSV website is divided into 3 main parts.

1) On the left you will find: A) archives (a collection of previous postings by date), and B) Recent Posts (the most recent additions to the newsletter section of the website).

2) In the middle you will find a listing of the most recent postings. Newest items are placed at the top of the page. When a newer item is posted, each item goes down. After a certain number of new posts are made, older posts will no longer be displayed on the site.

3) On the right hand side you will find the all-important search field (just type in a few key words to find what you are looking for), a couple of links for first-time visitors (more on that below), and a list of “Categories”.

Each article which is posted to the site can be assigned one or more categories. All articles which match a certain category can be found by selecting one of the links in the category list.

Categories are assigned when specific congregations are mentioned in an article (i.e. if someone from a church sent an announcement about an event taking place at their church). The same is true for Committees. Churches and Committees are grouped together for easier browsing.

How am I supposed to keep track of all of this?

I hope that you will bookmark http://psvonline.org/newsletter/ and come back often, however, there is an easier way to keep up with what is posted to the website.

You can sign up to get Newsletter By Email for free. Each day between 7:00-9:00 a.m. you will automatically be sent an email showing you everything which has been posted to the Newsletter in the past 24 hours. If nothing new has been posted, you will not get an email.

This is by far the easiest way to stay connected. Simply go to the Newsletter By Email page and enter your email address. Follow the simple instructions in the confirmation email you will receive, and the news will come directly to you.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me Timothy Luoma, PSV Newsletter Editor and I’ll be glad to help.
