News from the Rev. Kathy Nice, Transitional General Presbyter.

Dear Friends,
The 226th General Assembly is drawing near! This General Assembly will begin with committee meetings online from June 25-27. If you want to watch committee meetings, you can find more information at You will also find some information sessions and town hall meetings in the time leading up to the Assembly on this website.

Our elected commissioners include the Reverend Todd Tracy (Second Pres, Newark), the Reverend Emily Corzine (Presbyter for Congregational Life and Transitions), Elder Susan Dietz (First Pres, Logan), Elder/Moderator Steve Watters (First Pres, London), and Young Adult Advisory Delegate Milo Browne. We also look forward to seeing Mark Hare, one of our Mission Co-workers, who will be attending.
The plenary (group) meetings begin in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 30. Those who gather will worship in local congregations throughout the Presbytery of Utah. Full opening worship will be from 2:30 p.m. – 3:00 pm (Mountain Time) and livestreamed on the above website, so you can join in also!
The plenary sessions will be held starting at 3:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Sunday, June 30, and will end Thursday, July 4. I hope that you will keep our commissioners in your prayers, that you will take time to join online to watch some of our church at work, and that you will come to the August presbytery meeting to hear about their experiences.
I will be away the next two weeks attending classes at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. If you need to reach me, please do so via email so that I can respond as I can at breaks or in the evenings. Then I will leave to join the commissioners in Salt Lake City to be in support of their work there.
In Christ’s service,
