Special PW Gathering – Five members from Covenant Presbyterian Church and one from Broad Street in Columbus journeyed to Costa Rica January 7-14, 2025, to visit PC(USA) mission co-workers Mark Hare, Jenny Bent and Karla Koll. (Mark ‘s parents, Rev. Frank E. Hare and Catherine Hare, are well known in the PSV.)
They stayed at UBL (Universidad Biblica Latinoamericana), a seminary campus based in San Jose. This was not a typical mission trip. They were treated to an intensive educational experience, with lectures by UBL professors and students, community activists and lawyers. They also had an opportunity to work with Mark and UBL’s “Green Team.“
