The 253rd Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Scioto Valley began with worship, featuring a sermon delivered by the Rev. Rebecca Tollefson as a fitting send off to her year as Moderator, as well as communion, during which a scrolling necrology list of all the saints who had entered the Church Triumphant in 2018 was displayed. 2020 Budget Narrative for the Presbytery of Scioto Valley
At the last Presbytery meeting the Commission for Presbytery Operations (CPO) presented for first reading a budget for 2020 and proposed Per Capita needed to balance the budget. Although budget expenditures from current income are again not growing this year, dramatic decreases in member numbers is necessitating an increase in Per Capita to maintain our efforts together as a Presbytery. Per Capita needed is $45 per person. Slides from a presentation by CPO chair Bob Gustafson documenting the current situation. CPO will continue its work on budget and Per Capita and present for action in November.
The 2020 Per Capita was finalized at the February 18, 2020 Presbytery meeting and is $37.75.
